OCTOBER ASHTANGA YOGA & SURF RETREAT

Ashtanga Yoga & Surf Retreat,

October 11th to 13th,

at Herdade da Matinha, in Alentejo.

It’s 3 days in a special place, with a program of classes and activities that bring out our best.

PROGRAM

October 11th, Friday

from 3pm – Arrival, free time to enjoy the Estate.
6pm – Introduction to the Retreat / Ashtanga Yoga Class – it is the practice of my life, it has been with me for 21 years and has been the fundamental instrument for my greatest discoveries, growth and maturation. Count on a dynamic class, strong from the point of view physical, but possible to be practiced by everyone, those who have never done Yoga and those who are more experienced. (2 hours)
8.30pm – Dinner prepared by the Matinha restaurant.

October 12th, Saturday

8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – we start the day in the best way,  discovering where we are and what we need to nourish our best self, which comes when we feel freedom, well-being and peace. (2 hours)
10am –  Breakfast.
11.30am-  Departure to be on the beach, surf or walk. Surf lesson with our partner Kalux Surf School. You can also choose to stay in Matinha and enjoy everything this special place has to offer.
1:30pm – Free time.
5.30pm – Workshop Yoga,  consistency & happiness – Happiness has absolutely nothing to do with perfection or control, nor is it determined by something outside ourselves that we can buy or acquire. Happiness is not pleasure. Happiness is not guaranteed for life. Happiness is a collection of conscious moments, nurtured with attention and presence. Happiness takes work, it needs dedication and consistency. (1.30h).
7pm – Flow & Functional Yoga class – the perfect practice for the late afternoon, where we stretch and strengthen the areas of our body that tend to be weaker, tense, stuck or blocked. It is a class that promotes space, strength, surrender and relaxation. (1h).
8.30pm – Dinner at Matinha.

 

October 13th, Sunday

8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – the benefits of meditation and Yoga are already proven by science,  consistency is the key to mastery and progress. (2 hours).
10am – Breakfast.
11.30am – Walk in the valleys surrounding Matinha.
Workshop Your Basics  – Life is not a linear line, there are challenges and difficulties that easily disrupt  our focus and  motivation. And yet, if we build a lifestyle with strong foundations, we will have greater stability and availability to consistently care for our health and well-being. (1.30h)
1pm – Free time to enjoy the Estate.
