This practice invites us to develop attention, raise our awareness to be present in the moment. This practice helps you get out of autopilot, and break with constant worries about the past and anxieties about the future.
It is a demanding practice that involves time and dedication, but it gives back something that cannot be bought or bought abroad! It brings the ability to be here, with ourselves and enjoying our own company. Some of us grew up believing that only being surrounded by other people, and having certain things, would we be happy, a house, a car, that job, that person, etc… And we advance in age, we reach the goals that we have so idealized, but we are often exhausted, tired, disconnected, and even sick. Sometimes it takes us a long time to understand that after so much effort and sacrifice, that after all, happiness doesn’t live outside, but inside.
The most important thing in our life is the love we carefully cultivate for ourselves, for others and for what is around us. Keep your goals and objectives, but take the steps with self-love, respect for others and what surrounds you, and you will look at your past with different eyes, and feel your present with hope to continue creating your future, even if everything is uncertain.
