The Ashtanga Cascais Retreats have existed for over a decade, where we form partnerships with special places, close to Nature, that welcome you with elegance and care, such as the Memmo Baleeira Hotel, in Sagres. We organize the Retreat with everything that I believe promotes an improvement in our health and well-being, offering to the participants a set of important and transformative experiences and information.
There will be time to work on body and mind, enjoy the hotel, eat careful and tasty meals, talk, laugh, learn new perspectives to be able to effectively, deepen self-care, try surfing or just be on some of the most beautiful beaches in Sagres, etc. Come alone, or with your family and close friends!
PROGRAM
March 21, Friday
Arrival from 3pm – Welcome reception, and time to discover and enjoy the Memmo Baleeira Hotel, or take a walk around the village of Sagres and take a dip at the nearest beaches.
6pm – Introduction to the Retreat+ Ashtanga Yoga Fundamentals Class. We all need to breathe, but Yoga makes breathing a conscious act, which enhances your health and well-being. Ashtanga Yoga combines the power of conscious breathing with a dynamic set of postures and movements, which activate the body’s detoxification while teaching how to focus the mind and relax. (2 hours)
8.15pm – Dinner at the renowned Memmo Baleeira Hotel Restaurant.
March 22, Saturday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – you will start your day in the best way, through a transformative class that works on focus, strength and flexibility. (2 hours)
10.15am – Breakfast.
12pm – Departure to one of our favorite beaches, with time to take a surfing lesson with someone very experienced, Jo Bento, who was a professional athlete and who will share what he considers fundamental to enjoying the sea and surfing. Those who don’t want to do the surfing activity can take the opportunity to stay and walk on the beach. (2 hours).
2pm – Free time to have lunch in one of the restaurants in Sagres, be at the Hotel, go diving, read, chat, etc…
6pm – Workshop The multidimensional benefits of Yoga. You will learn all about the effects of a consistent Yoga practice that are already proven by science, from improving your respiratory, cardiac, circulatory, digestive, immune system, etc., + Functional Yoga Class – count on a dynamic practice, with an emphasis on strengthening and mobility, and which will be perfect to end your day. (2 hours)
8.15pm – Dinner.
March 23, Sunday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – repetition is the master of progress. Discipline is the driver of consistency. And kindness, the strength to make the transformation. (2 hours)
10.15am – Breakfast.
12pm – Walk to one of our favorite beaches. Yoga, Health and Lifestyle Workshop – a practice for life. Health is fundamental for those who practice Yoga, and its importance involves creating a balanced lifestyle. Come and discover how to adjust your routines to promote greater quality in your practice, and in your life. (2 hours)
2pm – End.
