ASHTANGA YOGA RETREAT, MOUNTAIN & LIFESTYLE, from the 16th to the 18th of May, at the Octant Hotel Lousã.
It’s the perfect 3-day getaway in a charming palace in the center of the historic village of Lousã, and a program of classes and activities that aim to awaken your inspiration, joy and well-being!
The Ashtanga Cascais Retreats have existed for over a decade, where we have formed partnerships with special places, which are close to Nature and which welcome you with elegance and charm, such as the Octant Hotel Lousã.
We organize Retreats with everything that we believe helps to renew and reinforce their joy, health and well-being, and that is why we offer our participants a set of transformative experiences.
The Octant Hotel Lousã is located in the former Salazares Palace or Viscondessa de Espinhal Palace. Expect a charming place full of history, special classes that invite you to take care of yourself, meals that emphasize local products, and moments to be in Nature, surrounded by greenery, trails, fabulous villages and river beaches.
PROGRAM
May 16th, Friday
Arrival from 3pm – Welcome reception, and time to get to know the Octant Hotel Lousã, where every nook and cranny invites you to stop, feel, and enjoy.
6pm – Introduction to the Retreat + Class The foundations of Ashtanga Yoga – a dynamic practice that intensely detoxifies the body while teaching how to calm and focus the mind. (2 hours).
8.15pm – Dinner made by the renowned Restaurante Terra.
May 17th, Saturday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – a lifelong practice that develops consistency, discipline, determination, but also kindness, lightness and well-being. It is a practice that nourishes your multidimensional health because it encompasses the physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual.(2 am) 10 am – Breakfast.
11.30am – Walk along the Mills Route – 2h.It is a route without major difficulties, we will walk at a calm and relaxed pace, with the necessary stops to admire the landscapes and rest.
2pm – Free time to enjoy the Hotel, or get to know a little more about Lousã and its Schist villages, such as the beautiful Candal and Cerdeira, or one of the river beaches because in May you already want to go diving!
6pm – Yoga, Health and Lifestyle Workshop – illness is one of the obstacles to Yoga, so find out a little more about this practice that needs our health, and that influences the construction of a balanced lifestyle. + Functional Yoga Class – you will end the day with a class that stretches and relaxes your body.(2hs) 8.15pm – Dinner.
May 18, Sunday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga – conscious repetition is the teacher of progress, and consistency is the ally of transformation. Yoga practice involves repetition so that you can get to know, strengthen and calm your body and mind.(2hs) 10am – Breakfast.
11.30am – Workshop on the 8 basics. How to create a lifestyle that supports your health, and that prioritizes self-care. The 8 basics are essential aspects to recover courage, determination and self-love as a basis for continuing to take care of yourself.(2hs) 1.30pm – END.
But you can take advantage of being in the mountains and continue exploring its wonders. Visit another Schist village like Talasnal, or take the walk along the Cerro da Candosa walkway, perhaps go for a swim in the Cabril da Ceira Gorge, or the Ribeira das Quelhas walk, among other options to end your Sunday.
CHECK IN takes place on Friday, May 16th, starting at 3pm.
CHECK OUT takes place on Sunday, May 18th, until 12pm, but participants can stay and use the Hotel until the end of the day.

Come and participate alone, with your family and friends. You don’t need to have experience as a Yoga practitioner, the classes are prepared to welcome those who have never practiced and also those who are already experienced.
