Persist, don´t give up
Sometimes it seems like life goes by too fast to be able to do everything we want.
We want to be more productive at work, amazing with our family, available and attentive to our friends, strict with our diet and exercise, efficient in managing our finances, connected to our spirituality, etc. And along the way we develop a demand that is often unrealistic, the result of our ideas of success, fueled by comparison with the lives of others and activated by what we feel we should achieve.
Yoga and meditation are the art of persistence and not giving up. They are not mere physical exercise but they strengthen us as if we were professional athletes and teach us discipline, rigor and motivation like no other.
They are not therapy but they generate self-observation and self-knowledge, they help us listen to our thoughts from miles away, especially the most sophisticated ones and even those that come with a voice that is not our own, but that we have kept inside us many years ago.
They are not magical, but they are capable of introducing us to something that is not visible, our energy, and we learn to activate it, control it and calm it as experts in the transcendent, the inexplicable and the grandiose.
Yoga and meditation are deeply spiritual and connect us to something greater, explaining with the patience of a master how we can be more humble, honest and deeply grateful. Yoga and meditation show us that our happiness exists within us, and that the only thing we have to do is practice both consistently and continuously.
