Program
May 22nd, Friday
From 3 PM – Arrival, room allocation, and time to explore and enjoy Vale Palheiro Earth Resort.
6 PM – Introduction to the Retreat + Ashtanga Yoga Class – a dynamic and vigorous practice that develops attention, self-awareness, strengthening and flexibility in the body, focus and calmness in the mind. It is a class that can be practiced by everyone, even those who have never done Yoga because the teaching is individual, respecting the needs and abilities of each participant. (2 hours)
8 PM – Dinner prepared by the Vale Palheiro Restaurant, The Barn.
May 23rd, Saturday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga Class – the benefits of meditation and yoga are scientifically proven. Nowadays, with increasingly fast-paced, stimulating, and intense daily lives that easily lead to fatigue, pressure, and anxiety, the practice of meditation and yoga is increasingly fundamental for learning to stop, feel, breathe, and calm down, benefiting from multidimensional well-being that impacts health and our quality of life. (2 hours)
10am – Breakfast.
11:30am – Departure for one of the beaches in the Aljezur area, time to learn to surf with our partners, Water Proof Surf School. Expect a special experience where you will learn the basics of this sport with safety, care, and lots of joy. For those who don’t want to surf, they can choose to walk on the beach, sunbathe, swim, chat, or remain in the quiet of Vale Palheiro.
1 PM – Free time.
5:30 PM – Yoga, Health & Lifestyle Workshop – As a yoga teacher for over 20 years and a coach in nutrition and integrative health, I present some fundamental points that help reflect on where we are at this moment in our lives, what nourishes and drains our energy and satisfaction, define what we want, and what we need to do to achieve what we dream of. + Functional Yoga Class – This is the perfect class to end the day, a practice derived from my long experience as a practitioner and teacher, working on areas of our body that tend to be blocked and weakened. (2 hours).
8 PM – Dinner.
May 24th, Sunday
8 AM – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga Class – There are only two ways to live, automatic and conscious. Both are fundamental to our lives; the big problem is when we live only in automatic mode, thinking, feeling, acting, and reacting always in the same way. Everything around us and within us is constantly changing; we must learn to be flexible so that we can act and react with malleability but with a strong structure, grounded in values and ethics. Consciousness is what allows evolution, growth, change, and progress. Consciousness develops self-knowledge that teaches us to overcome habits, conditioning, limitations, and blockages. (2 hours)
10:00 AM – Breakfast.
11:30 AM – Walk with the best view, in silence or conversation, enjoying contact with nature, the countryside, the sea, and the beach. Stop for the Workshop “Awakening Our Best Self.” The importance of the triad of life: vision, mission, and purpose. How to develop calmness, presence, awareness, and knowledge to put this triad into practice and benefit from a fuller, more satisfied, and balanced life. (2 hours)
