Retreat from December 12th to 15th, at Madeira Island

ASHTANGA YOGA RETREAT WITH  VERA SIMÕES FROM DECEMBER 12 TO DECEMBER 15, AT THE HOTEL ESTALAGEM DA PONTA DO SOL, IN MADEIRA.

Welcome to our Retreat from the 12th to the 15th of December at the Hotel Estalagem Da Ponta do Sol, which is situated on top of a cliff on the south coast of the island of Madeira, and with a privileged view of the sea.

Program

December 12th, Thursday
Arrival from 3pm, room distribution, and time to discover and enjoy the Hotel Estalagem A Ponta do Sol, or visit the village and beach of Ponta do Sol.
6pm – Introduction to the Retreat+ Ashtanga Yoga Class – a vigorous, strong Yoga practice that can be done by everyone because it is taught progressively, respecting your abilities and needs. (2h)
8:30 pm – Dinner prepared by the renowned restaurant at Estalagem Da Ponta do Sol.

December 13th, Friday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga Class –  The benefits of Meditation and Yoga are  proven by science. Learning to stop, laugh, feel and breathe has a strong positive impact on the quality of our multidimensional health and well-being – physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. During the Retreat you will learn that meditating and doing Yoga is not boring, complicated, nor impossible! (2h)
10am – Breakfast
11.30am – Departure to visit some of my favorite places – NORTH COAST.
As a passionate lover of Madeira, there are some places that I visit every year because the sensations that the island awakens within me are pure inspiration at my best. I’m going to share with you some of them… they will gain our secret!
3.30pm – Return to the Hotel, time to stay, or take another tour of your choice, such as visiting Doca das Cavacas, Fábrica de Santo António, Mercado dos Lavradores, etc., in Funchal.
6pm – Yoga, Health and Lifestyle Workshop – as a Yoga teacher for over 20 years and a mentor in nutrition and integrative health, I will explain some fundamental points to reflect on where you are, what you want and don’t want, what you need, where you want to go, and who you want to be when you get there + Flow & Functional Yoga Class – is a practice that derives from my long experience as a practitioner and teacher, and that works on the areas of our body that tend to be locked and weakened . It’s a perfect class for the end of the day to stretch and strengthen essential structures. (2h)
8:30 pm – Dinner.

December 14th, Saturday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga Class – conscious repetition  makes magic because it will make you master in the art of doing things, even when you don’t feel like it or it costs you, and therefore creates something essential for Yoga and for life – discipline. Conscious repetition and mindfulness generates  presence in the moment, and opens inner doors to self-knowledge, intuition, confidence and self-love. (2h)
10am – Breakfast
11.30am – Departure to visit some of my favorite places – SOUTH COAST.
This island has so many special places and being able to choose just a few of them is no easy task. But I’ll take you back to my favorites, the ones I choose to return to year after year, because for me, it’s always worth going back to where I am  happy!
3:30 pm –  Return to the Hotel, time to stay, or go on another tour of your choice, such as visiting Cabo Girão, or Casa das Mudas, or Calheta beach, in Calheta.
6pm – Workshop 8 basics – What works for me and that generates stability, balance and well-being may not work for you, and vice versa. Our health is individual because we are all different, but there are 8 basic points to begin our journey towards greater balance and well-being. This workshop explains each of these fundamentals and shows you how you can adapt them to what you like and what makes sense for your daily life.+ Flow & Functional Yoga Class – stretch, strengthen, breathe and unite with yourself.
8:30 pm – Dinner.

December 15th, Sunday
8am – Meditation & Ashtanga Yoga Class – you will start your day with an outdoor meditation, followed by a dynamic and fluid practice that intensely works your body and mind. The class ends with a guided relaxation that will conclude this Retreat that aims to awaken your best self. And your best comes when you calm down, and enjoy  your present, without ties to your past or anxiety about the future. Your best happens without perfectionism, or judgment, it comes with a feeling of gratitude and satisfaction. (2h)
10am – Breakfast.
11:30 am – End.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

The flight to the island of Madeira. Do your research in good time on easyJet https://www.easyjet.com/en, tap https://www.flytap.com and book your flight.Anything that is  outside of what is described in the program.
Lunches.
Additional snacks or drinks outside of the meals described in the program.
Alcoholic drinks at dinner.

CHECK IN takes place on Thursday, December 12th from 3pm. Anyone who has a flight should inform us of the arrival time, so that the transfer can be waiting for you and the Hotel can see if it can give you the room earlier.
CHECK OUT takes place on Sunday, December 15th until 12pm.
Know that you can pay in up to 3 parts. The first part is paid at the time of registration and the last part must be delivered by November 30th.
People registering alone can stay in a double room with another participant of the same gender, in separate beds. The rooms at Hotel Estalagem Da Ponta Do Sol are very beautiful and a good size.
For reasons of organizing registrations and managing the Retreat, we do not make cancellations or refunds.
