Our Annual Ashtanga Yoga & Surf Retreat from October 26th to 28th at Herdade da Matinha, Alentejo. There will be three very special days, with a program of classes and activities of pure connection and inspiration.
Every year we hold this Retreat that contains everything we most like: Alentejo and South of Portugal, Ashtanga Yoga, guided relaxations, nourishing and vibrant Food, hiking, beach, surf, lectures full of practical and real content and afternoon stretching and recovery classes.
PROGRAM
October 26th, Friday
from 4 pm – Arrival+ Distribution of rooms+ Small welcome reception.
6 pm – Introduction to the Retreat+ Guided Ashtanga Yoga Lesson+ Relaxation – the art of rest. (2.30h)
9 pm – Dinner prepared by the experienced Herdade da Matinha team.
October 27th, Saturday
8 am – Ashtanga Yoga Class –
Mysore Style for more experienced practitioners / Guided for beginners to Yoga. (1.30h)
10 am – Breakfast.
11 am – hiking through the valleys that surround Herdade da Matinha (1h)
1 pm – Lunch.
2 pm – time to enjoy being in Matinha, or go out to the beach and enjoy surfing with Jo Bento. (3h)
5 pm – Lecture about The Ashtanga Yoga+ Sequence of postures of stretching and recovery+ Guided Relaxation. (3h)
8.30 pm– Dinner.
October 28th, Sunday
8 am – Ashtanga Yoga Class –
Mysore Style for more experienced practitioners / Guided for beginners. (1.30h)
10 am – Breakfast.
11 am – Time to enjoy being in Matinha, or go out to the beach and enjoy surfing with Jo Bento. (3h)
2 pm – Lunch
3 pm – Lecture A practice for life + 5 postures that made it possible to stretch, recover and calm + Questions and answers + farewell (1.30h).
Our retreats are organized to provide the proper environment to a deep immersion towards your potential. Everyone will be welcome to participate, experienced practitioners and beginners to Yoga, people who like to walk and surf and people who have no intention of doing these activities. Come alone, or with some family members or friends, and enjoy a three-day break in routines to participate in a set of classes and activities that will bring out the best in you!
