And at the end of this process of conscious reflection, we will arrive at our why, why do we want to practice Yoga and meditate?<\/p>\n<p>The why is fundamental to maintaining a practice for a long period of time, and being able to overcome all the obstacles and difficulties that arise along the way. Discovering the why behind something we want to keep in our lives helps us get through challenging times and maintain discipline, motivation and focus.<\/p>\n<p>Why do we need Yoga and meditation in our lives? Is it an important need for our happiness, health and well-being? And is it relevant for our future? For me the answer is very simple.<\/p>\n<div class=\"n4sEPd\">\n<div class=\"QFw9Te BLojaf\">\n<h1 id=\"ow6\">Yes, because<\/h1>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"UdTY9 BwTYAc leDWne\" aria-hidden=\"true\" data-location=\"1\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it helps us calm the mind and be more present;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it works attention and focus;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it raises consciousness and makes us more generous and empathetic people;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it cultivates confidence, determination, resilience and discipline;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it improves our immune, circulatory and digestive systems;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it strengthens memory, concentration;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">develops strength and flexibility;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">it supports sleep and sleep quality;<\/li>\n<li class=\"kO6q6e\">establishes a connection with spirituality; etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meditation is part of the practice of Yoga, and the postures we perform on the mat are intended to create the stability and comfort necessary for us to later sit down to meditate.
