Ashtanga Yoga WORKSHOP, MARCH 6th and 7th, PORTO
I am a huge fan of Porto, and of teaching in the North, and it is with great joy that I return to Yoga Shala Matosinhos again.
PROGRAM
March 6, Saturday
8am – Introduction to the Workshop.
8.30am – Meditation + Ashtanga Yoga + Relaxation. Meditation is part of Yoga, and is not separate from the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, the class begins with a moment dedicated to internal connection, calming the body and mind, and cultivating attention and presence. Then we can keep the meditative aspects during the practice of Ashtanga, creating the right environment for us to be present in each breath, movement and posture, developing an open, light, and fluid routine of consciousness. We end with a deep rest, allowing all the benefits of the practice to be real inspirations for our day, and in the way we relate to ourselves, with others, and with those around us. (2.30h)
11 am – Pause.
11.30h – Lecture Principles and foundations of Ashtanga Yoga – the bases of a strong and immensely transformative practice, of discovery, self-care and love. (1.30h)
March 7, Sunday
8 am – Meditation + Ashtanga Yoga + Relaxation – a practice for life, which implies regularity, consistency, repetition & enthusiasm. (2.30h)
10.30h – Pause.
11 am – Lecture Yoga is a path of challenges and solutions – it directly works the internal muscles of resilience and joy. Professor Vera will tell you about this Upaya, about her difficulties, and about her overcoming tools. And she will leave direct advice on how to maintain a practice in times of a pandemic. (2h)
