THE ASHTANGA CASCAIS OFFERS A SET OF WEEKLY LESSONS SO YOU CAN ENJOY A REGULAR PRACTICE OF ASHTANGA YOGA. 

All our classes are open to beginners to Yoga, with the exception of our Monday lessons.

*Beginners should arrive at 7.15am, 8.15am or 9.15am. Experienced practitioners with a long practice should arrive earlier they can.

THE ASHTANGA CASCAIS Closes IN THE NEW AND FULL MOON DAYS, SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND SOME HOLIDAYS. 

Guided

It is the only lesson in our schedule that is not advised for beginners, because they will need some experience to keep up with the pace of the class. This group class is made according to the verbal directions of the teacher, who presents out loud the traditional Sanskrit counts of the Vinyasas, the exact number of breaths to enter, stay and leave each posture. It is a more demanding class, which requires that the practitioners already have experience.

Mysore Style

It is the traditional way of practicing Ashtanga Yoga, a class where both beginners and more experienced practitioners are welcome.
It is a group class where the teacher guides, advises, adjusts and teaches beginners and more experienced practitioners. All students have the proper accompaniment for a progressive learning in an environment conducive to deepening this special practice.

Lunar Calendar 2019

According to Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, we do not practice Ashtanga Yoga in the Full Moon and New Moon days. The Ashtanga Cascais closes in these two days.
